Name Description
ASTM Standards Online
Access current standards through the ASTM Standards website. There is no extra software needed.

Print ASTM issues a complete set of their standards annually. Waterloo subscribed to them in print from 1970 until 2008, when we converted to online. Search for print editions in the Library catalogue. [RR]
Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Online
The CSA Online Platform is incredibly finicky. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience. For the most up-to-date information on how to successfully access the CSA site, begin from the Library's Research Databases page on CSA.

Print
Older CSA Standards are accessible in print in the Davis Centre Library's Reference Collection under the call number TA368.C35. Search the Library Catalogue for "CSA" or "Canadian Standards Association" as the Author/Creator.

Some of the most frequently used standards have been catalogued individually, so you can search for them by title in the Library Catalogue. If there are other CSA Standards that we have in print that you would like to see catalogued, please contact Rachel Figueiredo. [RR]
IEEE Standards Online
IEEE Standards are accessible through the IEEE Xplore database. Use the Advanced Search feature and limit to "standards" under Content Type.

Print
Print versions of IEEE standards were issued in conjunction with another organization, eg, IEEE-ANSI. Search for older standards in the Library Catalogue, and use "standard" within your search for best results. [RR]
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Online
Waterloo has access to some ISO standards through the CSA Online Platform, which can be quite finicky. For the most up-to-date information on how to successfully access the CSA site, begin from the Library's Research Databases page on CSA.

Print
Some older ISO Standards are accessible through the Library Catalogue. Search for "International Organization for Standardization" as the Author/Creator. [RR]
